Well it’s Day 9 for me. I made an important discovery this morning. It helps when you’re busy and have a lot to do and keeps your mind off of food. Now to just keep busy….(easier said than done)
This morning was my cardio workout. I find myself now not trying to come up with excuses to go workout. Before I would think of anything and everything to avoid going to the gym. Now, I am just trying to come with ideas on how to come dressed to work out without having to get dressed for work, and then undressed to work out. Does that make any sense? I think I need a pair of wind pants and that should do the trick.
Every morning now when I go to the gym there is a girl named Tammy that is there. I know that she is looking for me in the morning and I also look forward to seeing her. I guess you could say that she in a way is making me accountable to going to the gym.
Back to my cardio workout. I am doing the couch to 5k running program. I just got in an email today information regarding Weight Watchers new walking/plan. I am thinking that I may try that instead. It does involve alot more walking than the other plans but I figure that I might be able to sneak in some extra time once I get home from work. I need to take a better look at the two plans and see which one will get me to my goal of being able to run a 5k.
Today’s cardio was basically, running 90 seconds and walking for 2 min. I had the treadmill speed bumped down just a bit because of the fact that I didn’t know if I would be able to survive 90 seconds of running. I managed, I am not sure how but I did. Tomorrow’s workout is an upper body workout.
Lunch today is a recipe that I got from a book called Eating for Life. It’s called Tropical Tuna Sandwich. It is my favorite.
To sum it all up, I am definitely getting back into the groove. It’s getting easier and easier to get my butt back to the gym.

My Pomatomus sock has been giving me issues. I had to rework the second repeat at least a couple of times all ready. The yarn that I am using is making it very difficult to tink back. It is very easy to not grab enough of the plies. I love the yarn and the color that I am using. I am also bound and determined to finish this sock.
Usually, I knit a little bit before I go to work, during my lunch hour and then of course afterwork. Today, I don't know what happened to the time but there was definitely no knitting going on during lunch. I always carry my knitting bag with me no matter where I go. I'll have to show you a picture of my favorite knitting bag. I also know that I need to spice up this blog a bit with pictures but I never carry my camera around with me.
