Day 17- Today was the first day where I woke up and really did not want to go to the gym and workout. But I did anyways. I keep telling myself over and over again no excuses. This morning was a lower body workout and I got through it.
I brought my dinner to the bowling alley with me again last night. Of course, the girls on the team had to give me a bit of grief about it. My husband and daughter came to watch me bowl and of course the main attraction for my daughter is the french fries
to which they ordered. They both shared them. She offered me a fry. They smelled really good they were nice and hot but as much as I would have liked to have one, I just said no thank you. mental note - hot french fries
on free day, maybe
I was talking with a girlfriend here at work about my trip to St. Louis. It kind of helps me to talk things out then somehow I come up with a plan or they give me an idea. My two cardio workouts are planned but I need to write and commit to a plan for my upper body workout on Friday. As for the eating, I am pretty sure that I will be able to stick to plan for most of the time while I am there. Breakfast will probably be cereal, I am hoping skim milk might have to have a couple of glasses of milk to get enough protein in. Lunch, I believe might be buffet style. As long as I chose the lean cuts of meat I should be fine. As for the carbs, fruit can help with that and there should be some sort of a veggie. Snacks will be my nutrition bars. My friend suggested that if I want to indulge in a sweet to make sure that it is something that I absolutely want and limit myself to that one and only one. As for dinner, I think as long as I stay away from fast food restaurants I should do absolutely fine.
As you can read, I have a plan. It may not be the best plan but it is a plan. I am realizing that having a plan is what is keeping me on track and that is what is going to help me along the way.
Tonight I am going to have to spend some time getting ready for our trip to St. Louis. I need to plan what knitting I am going to bring with. I know I am planning on bringing my work in process (Pomatomus socks). Speaking of those, I am almost finished with the toe. This morning I somehow managed to screw up. The yarn that I am using is extremely splitty and very easy to not pick up all the plies when you're knitting or trying to fix your previous mistakes. So this afternoon, I am going to have to fix what I did this morning. I should know better than try to squeeze more row in when it's time to go to work, that's usually when disaster strikes.
