I will post on Fling happenings later when I can add photos to my blog. But here is how I did at the Fling on body for life. Overall I would grade myself a C.
It’s been a week since I last posted, wow! Spring Fling happened. I tried to be good. I guess that I was better than I thought. I did have a cupcake and got a big piece of chocolate cake
at the desert reception. I was only able to eat a few bites of that. It was too rich and decadent. I also felt very guilty. Dinner was pizza with a group. That was Thursday.
Friday morning I did get up and go to the hotel gym. I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw that they had enough equipment that I was able to do my upper body workout. I ate decently for lunch. I had my nutrition bars with me for snacks. Dinner was at a Japanese Steak house so that was pretty much on plan except the white rice.
Diane - dmop beat me down to the gym on Saturday morning. By the time I got there she was in the lobby area. I was happy to hear that she had gotten her workout in but in a way sad because she was all ready done. Adrienne Annie97 was on the treadmill when I got in the gym all ready working out. So that was a pleasant surprise. I had learned that she won the Spring Fling weight loss challenge. Lunch was difficult to stay on plan not very many choices. Dinner was at an italian restaurant. I made decent choices that were ok but totally not on plan. After dinner, we went to Coldstone. I was very disappointed. It tasted horrible. I think that part of the reason is that it had been sitting for a very long time. Let me say this much I will not be visiting there ever again. I only had a few bites and it went in the trash.
My last challenge was actually my bowling banquet which was last night. There were no BFL choices except green beans which tasted like they had butter on them. So I took small portions.
My workouts are going good. Monday was a lower body workout which I did on my Bowflex Revolution. I didn’t feel like I got any benefit from it. My heartrate monitor watch said that I burned over 200 calories. The only reason why I think that I burned so much is from monkeying around with the cables to get the exercises set up.
I am in my fourth week of BFL and the Couch to 5k running plan. I actually ran for 5 minutes straight yesterday morning! I didn’t think that I could do it but I just kept telling myself yes you can. 5 minutes seemed like a very long time for running.
I missed my weigh-in on Sunday. I am not going to weigh-in during the week. I can’t wait for Sunday to see how I did. I am will be happy if I stay the same and estatic if there is a weight loss.
