Last night, I watched the season finale of the Biggest Loser. It was the only show that I had watched all season. I should have been watching it all along but I didn't. I guess part of the reason why I didn't watch it was that I felt like a phoney. I would watch the show but would be eating junk while watching it. I also wasn't doing anything to help my cause. Also, the show was on when I was at bowling.
As I began watching the show, I was impressed with the contestants. Yes, they all had a lot to lose but the numbers that they had lost were astounding. I was impressed by Jerry the 64 year-old. He was booted off early in the show but managed to lose well over 100 lbs. I forgot the exact total.
As I was watching the show, I came to a couple of realizations. The first one being is that I can not allow myself to go back to the way I was. The second, I am not doing enough for exercising. I need to start pushing myself more. The main question is how much more do I push myself?
This morning I upped some of my weights in my upper body workout. I did find out though that I still need to up the weights on my biceps and possibly my triceps. I am a bit sore but at least I felt as if I did something. I am just going to have to learn not to be afraid to push myself.
Could not pushing myself as much as I should have be the reason I didn't do as well on the first challenge that I did a few years ago.
At the end of this week, I am halfway through the challenge. So my thoughts are turning to what can I do different for the second half. One thing I am going to do is to try to push myself even harder with my exercises.
I have been thinking about getting a new workout game for my WII. EA Sports Active is coming out with a new game next week. I believe that I am definitely going to be getting this game. I just watched some video on it and it is awesome. I think that this will definitely help me out.
As for Kai-Mei, I have 5 inches of 3x3 ribbing knitted. I am not sure if I am going to knit a 6.5 inch cuff or just stop at 6 inches. I was going to do a shortened cuff but thought that the sock looks better with a bit of a longer cuff.
