It's definitely spring and a nightmare. Why a nightmare? The traffic. There is so much construction going around this area it is unbelievable. I swear everyone got together and asked what can we do to make everyone's lives miserable. A lot of the main roads have some form of construction going on. What normally takes me about 45 minutes to get home from work took me an hour and fifteen minutes yesterday! It took me about over an hour to come in yesterday morning.
As announced yesterday, the Snapdragon socks went to the frog pond only to re-emerge as Kai-Mei. I casted on for Kai-Mei last night. I have about an inch of 3x3 ribbing done. I am thinking about frogging this and going up to the next needle size. I called my LYS and they do not carry any size 1 1/2 circulars. So, I place an order with The Loopy Ewe I should be getting them by the end of the week. However, now I face the dilema do I continue knitting or do I frog and maybe cast on with a size 2 needle instead. Lately, I have been trying to knit with the same size needle that the pattern states but I should have known better and went up a needle size. The cuff so far measures 2 3/4 inches across. The gauge states that it is 4 inches slightly stretched.
I am taking a half day of vacation today. I sold my Laguna bag online this morning. So I need to get that into the post. Also, a visit to the eye doctor is in order also. So, it might be a slightly busy afternoon. I am also hoping to squeek in a bit of knitting time.
